Villages Goods is a not for profit social enterprise, with the goal of bringing Fair Trade, ethically sourced goods to Edmonton. 

Village Goods was previously known as Ten Thousand Villages Edmonton, however is early 2020 Ten Thousand Villages Canada shut down - leading to the store re-branding! Now known as Village Goods, we were able to remain open thanks to the efforts of our volunteer Board of Directors, our dedicated team of in store volunteers, our staff, and our community who continue to shop with us throughout every change! 

Our store is volunteer run and supported - our Board of Directors meets bimonthly in order to hear reports from the managers and discuss the management of the store, as well as handle treasury matters and other store concerns as they arise. 

If you've visited the store, chances are you've gotten to interact with one of our volunteers! Our volunteers provide customer service to everyone who enters the store - with the added responsibility of sharing the importance of Fair Trade and the stories behind our products! We have volunteers who have been with us from decades to weeks, and without them the store wouldn't be here! (Pst, interested in volunteering with us? We also have two managerial staff and a part time staff person who handle the day to day management of the store! 

Village Goods is a proud member of the Fair Trade Federation, and adhere to the Principals of Fair Trade in all of our sourcing efforts.
