Bamboo is an easily renewable grass which can play an important part in tackling climate change.

As a raw material it is excellent both for environmental and economic sustainability in rural areas. It takes up little space, grows to maturity in under 5 years, and can be harvested regularly. Bamboo grows freely in the woods and empty spaces close to the producer’s workshop.
