Canada is a country in North America. It extends from the Atlantic Ocean to theĀ  Pacific Ocean and northward into the Arctic Ocean, making it the second-largest country by total area, with the longest coastline of any country. Its border with the United States is the longest international land border. The country is characterised by a wide range of meteorologic and geological regions, which have led to extremely varying populating densities, with large areas being sparsely populated due to climate and geography.Ā

Indigenous peoples have continuously inhabited what is now referred to as Canada for thousands of years.

Beginning in the 16th century British and French expeditions explored and later settled, expanding further west over time. Early European interactions with First Nations changed from friendship and peace treaties to the dispossession of Indigenous lands through treaties and later forced assimilation of Indigenous peoples into a western Canadian society. In the past few decades there has been recognition of the harms this has caused, and work has begun towards reconciliation and redress.

As you explore the store, look for fair-trade and ethically-oriented chocolate, stickers, butterfly jewelry, and Edmonton/Alberta-inspired clothing!
