The journey of our Antarctic Pure Fine Sea Salt begins in the pristine Antarctic Ocean, carried north by the swift Benguela Current along South Africa’s rugged west coast. As it travels, the ice-cold ocean water filters slowly through layers of ancient seashell beds and sand, collecting in a rare underground saltwater aquifer where it is gently purified over time. From there, the mineral-rich brine is brought to the surface and left to slowly sun and wind-dry by nature. This sea salt is hand-harvested and carefully sieved, never machine cut or ground. This slow, traditional method helps preserve its natural mineral balance, clean taste, and delicate texture.
Naturally containing over 80 trace minerals, Antarctic sea salt has been independently tested to confirm a rich mineral spectrum, including approximately 1,800 ppm magnesium, 2,400 ppm calcium, and 1,100 ppm potassium, supporting its mineral-rich composition.
Unrefined and free from additives, this salt retains its full mineral character, offering depth of flavour and a satisfying texture that enhances both everyday cooking and finishing dishes. Independently tested for purity and heavy metals, these coarse crystals are ideal for salt grinders, finishing, and daily use.
Each batch is hand-packed on Vancouver Island, BC, for those who value thoughtfully sourced, mineral-rich sea salt and traditional methods.
Available in 300g pouches, in fine or coarse.
