Orthodox black tea is made by withering fresh tea leaves, rolling the leaves and then drying the tea. Assam black tea has a malty flavour that is delicious as is, or with milk and sugar.

Small-scale tea growers in Assam, India grow and process their own tea organically at their garden sites. These organic gardens are a haven for birds and microorganisms and the farmers' entrepreneurship is inspiring.

Full-flavoured, traditional black tea. Use one heaping tablespoon of loose leaf or a single tea bag for 500ml of boiling water.
