Umano offers organic and Fairtrade-certified cashews, guaranteeing a fair price paid to producers from partner cooperative, Coopake, the Kenedougou Agricultural Cooperative. 

Choosing cashew nuts in pieces also helps combat food waste. Indeed, during shelling, up to 30% of the nuts can be broken. Among these broken pieces, the small pieces are often discarded or used as meal in animal feed. However, their taste and nutritional qualities remain intact.

By choosing to import these nuts in pieces, we are making fair trade cashews more affordable while offering a new outlet for the producers' cooperative.
