Lokta paper making is a cottage industry in Nepal and supports the protection of Nepal's forestation since these are small bushes. The raw material Lokta, is a bark from the Lokta plant - a sapling stick of about 5 to 7 feet in length - also sometimes referred to as the paper tree.
