Bunyaad works with over 850 rug-knotting families throughout Pakistan and has recently started working with woodworkers too! Consistent jobs in the woodworking industry are hard to find, by working with Bunyaad, these skilled woodworkers have sustainable economic opportunities. Every year tons of wood are thrown into landfills because the pieces aren't even or are odd shapes and sizes, however, Bunyaad woodworkers salvage these pieces and work with them to create beautiful, functional designs.
