This dog on bench/sofa is hand-carved from Albesia wood, by artisans in Bali.

Albesia is one of the fastest growing trees in the world and therefore is a perfect sustainable material - in some countries, it is even considered an invasive species, and having an incentive to cut back the trees is great for sustaining the local ecosystem.

The bench seat pad is fixed. The dog is removable.

Made in Bali by a family-run business founded in 1998, producing Albesia wooden handicrafts. Sales of this product not only provide security for workers in difficult times but allows artisans to provide a better life for their children, giving them opportunities, they would not have had before!
